Miguel and Anthony have agreed (yes--agreed!) to spend their first week of Spring Break with me and Jay. It was their first time to sleep over without their mom and dad, so it's very understandable that they seem to be hesitant. Saturday, March 20, we met up with them after they went to a Bowling Party....
Then the fun started...
Sunday, we all went to church together then we had lunch. After eating we decided to burn off our calories and went to Target. Did some grocery shopping and bought Anthony and Miguel their games. It was a nice feeling getting them something and seeing the happy faces afterwards. Then we all spent that afternoon just at home. And oh, I took a nap but the kids didn't. They were not tired at all!!! We decided to go camping. Well, camping at the living room. The boys used their new sleeping bags and they were excited using it. So they dozed off early.
Monday--back to work and the 2 boys went with Jay to bring me to work. Then they all went home and had a good breakfast. Just before noon, they all went to the park. They stayed there for like 2 hours playing, running, playing, running, playing, running...ooppps that's too redundant now! ha! But that's what they really did for 2 hours. They brought their luncheables with them so, they probably took a 5 minute break and went back to their playing and running.
Monday night---when i got home, Miguel and Anthony looked tired. Well they really must be tired! Who wouldn't? We had dinner and then they played their fave game of UNO with their Uncle Jay. I asked them to sleep with Claudine this time. I don't think i can sleep on the floor again and do the camping thing. I am just exhausted from work.
Tuesday--they went shopping at the Apple Store in Cupertino and they got the apple shirts. Jay got one for himself too and they all look cute with it. Looked like they are all working at Apple. Hehehehe.
Wednesday--shopping again in the morning at Target (again) and Fry's...this kids are so lucky! I want to go shopping too... They also went to Honda. Jay needed to get our oil changed so the kids had no choice but to go with him. I bet they still had a good time.
Thursday---I worked at home. But the kids woke up at 6:30. So i was up really early. Then Jay had to go somewhere so I was alone with them this time. But they are such good kids that i just loved staying with them. Anthony can be really chatty but hey--he's a growing smart kid so i should expect him to ask a lot of questions :) Miguel on the other side is just the most responsible kid. He would always watch over his little brother.
Friday--I worked from home again. I am just glad that I was able to do this so at least i can watch them while Jay is out. I decided to work through the lunch hour so i can log off early cause they have been nagging me for some fun! LOL!
We all went to see a movie that night--The Diary of a Wimpy Kid. We had popcorn with gallons of butter! Well i guess it was more of BUTTER with popcorn. HA! Then after the movies we had fro-yo at tuttimelon. Yum! .....
It was just pure fun with the kids, Claudine and Jay. I feel like a kid again! Except that i get to decide this time. LOL! I remember when i was a kid, i had to ask my mom if we can do some stuff or I can do some stuff. This time, it was all up to me! YES!!!!
Saturday---my family came. We all went to the mall and then did some shopping. They also spent the night at our tiny apartment. BUT i had such a great time. We watched this Russell Peter's comedy show and played bingo--hey, I won!! wohoo! I won $9 :)
Then came Sunday. We just had breakfast and they all went home.
****Sigh****
It has been a busy week. But it was so much fun. It was different from the other weeks...The kids were fun but they just took the energy out of me. I don't think I am old but i don't think I am that young to be running all the time.
I miss them! I called them this morning and asked what they were doing. They're happy to be home with their mom and dad but they said they miss their Uncle Jay---Yes, their Uncle Jay! NOT ME?! I should admit that Jay was more fun than I am but they said they miss me too, so that's good for me :)
